Paklok is a large, undeveloped and peaceful area on the east side of Phuket. It's covered by rubber tree plantations and mangrove forests. When the tide is low, local fishermen will walk out on the mud amongst the mangrove trees. As the tide returns, the mangroves get covered in water again. Paklok also has a few nice sandy beaches found near the mangroves, used by locals when there is good weather and the right tide.
